Mystixx Zombie, by Playhut, Inc., are dolls that have faces you can change. These dolls have a normal face for daytime, and they have a vampire face for when they make the change into a vampire at night.

There are four dolls to choose from: Talin, the trendy doll who loves pink; Siva, the royal doll who loves purple; Azra, the outdoorsy, sporty doll; and Kalani, a smart vegetarian doll.


The dolls represent teenagers who are trying to fit into high school during the day but become vampires at night, and each is inspired by a different backstory.

The dolls are easy-to-use because the heads spin around to reveal their other faces. The hair can be removed to mix and match with the other vampire dolls or to distinguish from daytime and nighttime looks. The dolls come with different accessories, including two wigs each.

Mystixx Zombie dolls come with a lot of accessories for the money. If you choose to buy more than one doll, you can exchange clothes and wigs for different looks on the different dolls. The dolls are beautifully made and rich in detail. The design is unique and the back stories to the dolls are detailed and imaginative. The different dolls cover common personality characteristics or likes that many children can identify with.

I recently had the chance to review two of the lovely dolls by Playhut:


Let's first meet Talin:
Talin is a beautiful and trendy girly that loves pink. She wears pink clothes and accessories and even has a pink car! The food she eats is only meat. Girls at school love and hate her, but she doesn't care because she's so confident. Talin enjoys hanging out with the girls but wants that special boyfriend. She knows all the hip people at school and can get anything she wants. She is talkative, funny and knows all the cool places to hangout!


Talin comes with a red wig that has blonde highlights. Also, a pink wig with blonde highlights.


 She is wearing a lovely golden top with a stripped high/low skirt and tall tan boots.


 The zombie side of Talin's face has gorgeous green eyeshadow, dark lips, and mix matched colored eyes.


Now meet Kalani:
Kalani is a strict vegetarian that only eats green vegetables. She loves school and is extremely smart.
Before high school her parents, who are both professors, home schooled her. She is nerdy, quiet, thoughtful and feels most comfortable in a classroom or around books. Her shy personality and extreme intelligence scares off others at school, making it hard for her to socialize and make friends. Secretly, Kalani is jealous of all the popular girls and wants to be just like them, especially around boys.


Kalani comes with two wigs: one green with black highlights and the other is black with grey


 She even comes with a very fashionable green hat that can be worn with either hair or face. Also, she is wearing a long sleeve white tip and two-tier green skirt. She has knee high socks on that peek out the top of her green boots.

I like these dolls for kids because they are getting two for the price of one. They can change the face and hair which is perfect for imaginative play.
