Why Five Almonds?

It all started as a simple wish—actually, five of them. In the mid-17th century, European aristocrats celebrating weddings and special occasions would offer their guests five confectionary almonds symbolizing wishes for happiness, health, wealth, longevity and fertility. This tradition spread and continued in many parts of the world, mostly unchanged, until now.We at Les Cinq Amandes, took the centuries old tradition and updated it by offering innovative flavors and colors of dragées, creating couture, modern and outstanding designs, and renewing the set of wishes to Peace, Health, Happiness, long life and of course...Love. The result: An incomparable gift giving experience infused with elegance and symbolism!

Since 1988, we have been creating exceptional custom-made artisanal favors and gifts for close friends and family. In 2007 we launched Les Cinq Amandes (The Five Almonds LLC.). From the day of its birth, the company received exceptional feedback. Since then our impressive list of clients has only been increasing. I received several of their products to try out:


The first thing you will notice is the long row of brightly colored snacks. Simple elegance characterizes this baguette favor. Colorful chocolate dragées are hand stacked to create this favor or small gift. These are little sweet for me but are good.

The second is the little green bag. These are candy covered almonds and they have the sweetest taste! I ate that little bag before anyone could grab it.

The last item is the box of dark chocolate almonds. They are called Tiramisu Seduction which is a mix of dark chocolate, cocoa, almonds and sugar. They are good but too sweet for me. Hubby ate the little box all up!
