I must say that the all the heads are soft to the touch. The pumice sphere is rough but it is supposed to be to help remove the dead skin. This is not only a great product to exfoliate the face, but all over! It can help get rid of that dry, rough skin on your heels even. (I know, I tried it on my hubbys feet)
