In order to charge your devices, you need to plug in the USB part of the micro-USB cable (in case of android) or the 10 pin lightning/30 pin connector (for apple devices, you already own) to the USB output port of the charger. The other end of the cable to the device to be charged. On connecting the device to the charger, the charger will automatically start charging, it doesn’t need any button to be pressed to start it.
