I love the sleek look of the Avalon Bay Wine Cooler and when I was offered the chance to review one, I was like Yes!

I received the 12-bottle Avalon Bay Wine Cooler to review, but there is an 18-bottle version, too. It arrived in a double-walled cardboard box, ready to plug in and play. Which is great as you know it will not be damaged in shipping.

First, I love the cool, sleek look of the wine cooler. It's a pretty compact unit so it is a good size for most kitchens. One thing to note, if you have low cabinets, it will not fit under them. We have the wine cooler sitting next to our sink as that is the only place it would fit. But with its sleek, modern appearance, it still looks good! (The blue light is also a cool effect)

The AB-WINE12S is a freestanding wine cooler and should not be placed inside a cabinet or enclosed area because it needs air circulation to perform efficiently. I have had to literally fight with my husband over the unit. He wants to put it in his man cave for when he is working.

The sliding wire racks are removable, so you can accommodate other bottles or even boxes if need be. At just 24 lbs, you can take this unit with you anywhere. If you have a BBQ coming up, bring along the Avalon Bay Wine Cooler and chill wine or even a few six packs! Yes, the options are endless as the racks can even accommodate cans!

Its cooling range is great for wines but it will not be great for food. Even though this unit would be super sharp in a dorm room, it is best for wines or cold drinks as it is not cold enough for food.
