The Baby Box Company Review

16 July

Thank you to The Baby Box Co. for allowing me to review one of the boxes. All opinions are my own

For 75 years, Finland's expectant mothers have been given a box by the state that serves as a starter kit for their new baby. It contains clothes, blankets, and other newborn necessities, and the box itself--which is lined with a mattress--can even be used as the child's first bed. It is believed that these baby boxes have helped Finland achieve one of the world's lowest infant mortality rates.

When the Baby Box arrived, I was quite surprised in the size of the box! As you can see above, there are a lot of great items that were included in my Baby Box. The box itself is actually a bed – with a mattress.  And it is not just a thin mattress, it is actually a couple inches thick. This would be really perfect for travel or for us to keep at the grandparents when we visit.

As for the contents of box, we received Avent Soothies and a lovely pair of blue booties.

There is a bottle of Natural Non-Scented Shampoo/Body Wash which is great because you really don't want your baby smelling like perfume. A adorable, soft duck binkie. (Well that is what we call them)

There is a white envelope that has samples and a special treat for mom. My treat was a pixi mascara which I love. Also a little pair of mittens with a matching hat.

You also get a burp cloth, wash cloths, a white onesie. Also a easy swaddle blanket which is super soft.

The final item in the box was a package of baby wipes and a 1st healthcare Kit. Like I have said, this really is the perfect gift for new parents. They get a lot of the necessities that they will need and all wrapped up in a adorable box that doubles as a bed!

I so wanted to show pictures of the little one sleeping in the box but with them being sick, I felt it was better to not risk the chance of ruining the box.

I really love the idea behind the Baby Box and this would make a perfect present for the new parents.  You can find The Baby Box Company on Facebook and Twitter.
