Sitara Foundation, the charitable arm of Sitara Collections, was launched in conjunction with Sitara Collections in 2007. The Foundation exists as a tangible expression of our appreciation for the highly skilled Indian artisans who meticulously craft jewelry and lifestyle products using traditional techniques. From the beginning, we committed to returning a portion of our proceeds to the people and culture sharing their gifts with the world through Sitara Collections.   


Each item I received from the Sitara Collection was wrapped in this lovely lavender colored paper. The envelope on top was gorgeous and contained my invoice.


Hand Painted Candle - Single in Box - Matuko Design:
This is a single hand-painted candle in gift box. Each candle is 4 inches tall by 2 inches in diameter. The name Matuko means elegance in Swahili.


Wild Woolie Cow:

Capture the spirit of spring all year round with this enchanting Cow, part of our collection of lifelike felted animals. Fair trade artisans in Nepal use 100% natural wool and other sustainable materials to handcraft these ornaments, whose vivid colors come from only non-toxic, azo-free dyes. In addition, water used in their production is drained into gardens for growing food, and wool scraps are recycled into new products. 

 

You will feel great about displaying this ornament on your Christmas tree or anywhere else in your home! Animals measure approximately 4 inches high and come with an attached string for hanging. These hand felted fair trade ornaments are also finger puppets and pen pals. Handmade with 100% natural wool.
