Masik Collegiate Fragrances was founded by CEO, Katie Masik, in 2008.  A Chemical Engineering graduate from Bucknell University, she spent the early part of her career in the energy industry.  However, an entrepreneur at heart, she grew restless after several years and was ready for a change.

Over the past few years, we have has partnered with schools in the Southeast and Southwest to expand the collection.  This year, we have expanded our team and will be launching 17 schools this fall.   Many more schools across the country are in the works!  We also are developing new products to add to the collection.

My hope is that these official scents will someday remind people of the past - long after days on campus come to an end, alumni and fans can smell that special scent and be reminded of that special time – the campus, the sporting events, the traditions and most of all, the memories…

Recently, I had the great pleasure of working with Masik to sample a few of their colligate fragrance's. I was more than excited to do this review as I am from Alabama and a Auburn Fan!


First up, The University of Alabama for her: (Retails $39.50 for 1.7 fl oz)

A signature scent exclusively created to capture the essence of The University of Alabama.  The Power of Great Traditions, The Fever of the Roll Tide and The Eternal Bond of Crimson and White. Vibrant, Daring and Illustrious.

Let me say this, I am a Auburn Fan, but I LOVE the scent of the Alabama for her. The University of Alabama for Women opens with a vivacious burst of Candied Pink Grapefruit, Sparkling Mandarin, and Pineapple Sorbet. Textural Osmanthus, Tahitian Tiara Flower, White Tuberose and Japanese Honeysuckle glimmer throughout the heart capturing the passion and energy of the Crimson and White, while Exotic Bamboo Wood, Creamy Sandalwood, and Soft Musk linger at the base rounding out this sparkling and captivating fragrance. A luscious and bright tribute to the Crimson tradition for the Alabama woman.

This is the best smelling perfume! I can smell the Pink Grapefruit and Mandarin right from the first spray. It will linger for several hours and have people asking where you got it :)


Next in line is The Auburn University for him: (Retail $39.50 for 1.7 fl oz)

A signature scent exclusively created to capture the essence of Auburn University.  The Iconic Splendor of Samford Hall, The Thrilling Cry of War Eagle and the Everlasting Unity of Orange and Blue.  Fearless, Noble and Radiant.

As the mighty War Eagle soars up above take a deep breath and take in the effervescent scent of Sicilian Lemon, Sliced Ginger and Bitter Lime that Auburn University for Men opens with. Allow the Chilled Black Pepper and Iced Juniper to cool your senses while Lavender, Purple Basil and Mediterranean Rosemary transcend your spirit into a vibrant ambiance. Sheer White Amber, Tonka Bean and Cashmere Woods add warmth at the base creating a scent that is as fearless and true as the Orange and Blue.

Upon first spray, I can smell the Ginger and Cashmere Woods. It is a truly one of a kind scent and very nice for the men.
