I received the Ozeri Serafino Double-Wall Thermo Glasses to review. I was pretty excited to try these glasses out, as they are intended to be sturdy and heat/cold resistant. I was particularly interested in finding a glass that would not have a ton of condensation with cold beverages as we recently had an incident where a slippery glass slid out of little hands and shattered a plate; all this resulted in wet clothes, wet faces and a breakfast full of glass. If I could find something that could resist that, I would be happy!
The glasses are attractive looking with a contoured area that makes holding the glass very comfortable, as though it were ergonomically designed to sit in your hand. The nice part is, it does not just fit comfortably into my hand, but also fits little hands well, too. The first test in the glasses was ice water because I wanted to confirm I would have a glass that I could let my kids drink from, without the worry of it becoming slippery. The double layer design, really did insulate the outside of the glass and prevent the glass from becoming a slippery mess in our hands, allowing for a secure grip on our glasses.
Next, I filled one up with piping hot coffee that hubby had just made. I was amazed at how I could hold this glass and not feel how hot the coffee was, particularly since hubby’s mug was steaming hot! After awhile the glass did warm up a bit, but it was more a comforting warm, versus the “I cannot hold this by anything but the handle” hot, like the mug was.
These glasses do what they say! The double-wall keeps you from having cold or hot flashes while drinking a delicious beverage and keeps your beverages at your desired temperature for longer than their non-insulated counterparts. I love that they are durable, and therefore, can be used by the little people without fear of immediate breakage. I definitely recommend the Ozeri Double-Wall Thermo Glasses.
