At Project DIY, we believe fashion doesn’t always need to be bought ready-made.  We love scouring the floor at M&J Trimming and discovering new textures, colors, and materials, and using them to create extraordinary accessories that are highly personalized and wearable.  These were the basic principles on which Project DIY was founded.

At M&J Trimming, the fashion industry’s premier source for trims and accessories, we are constantly impressed with the way our customers create incredible looks using our trims. With an unparalleled product selection, we launched Project DIY as runway and street style inspired DIY kits.

Our goal for Project DIY, whether you’re a DIY master or just getting started, is to give our customers everything needed to create stylish and unique accessories that they can fully customize themselves.  At this time we have closed our monthly subscription service as we work toward launching a full collection in Fall Winter of 2014/15 that will be sold in retailers nation wide.  Get ready to get your DIY on!

I was lucky to receive two of their boxes, since they are closing the subscription service:

This is the November 2013 Box called Joan Of Ark:

The kit (I was lucky it included the starter kit) included two different projects from a Shield Necklace to a Warrior Cuff.

It actually took me about 15 minutes to put together the Warrior Cuff. It was very simple and just involved glue and scissors.

Now, the Shield Necklace was a little more of a challenge being it was my first time doing it.  I think it turned out pretty well and just took around 15 minutes as I left the side bar's off. (I like the look better)

As soon as I tackle the box below, I will upload photos of the completed pieces:

If you love making jewelry then this is the box for you! I have never made jewelry and this kit made it super easy. They even have detailed instructions on their website to show you how!
