In addition to PlaSmart’s philosophy of marking smart, simple toys, it has an internal belief to ‘under promise and over-deliver’ to its retail partners.

Problem solving is a skill that we all need. It helps us figure out how to work through the smallest challenges to the biggest hurdles we may face in life. If we can teach young kids how to problem solve, then perhaps our next generations will have brighter futures.

We all know that kids learn best through play. With that thought in mind, I am thrilled when I am able to find toys that are both fun and teaching tools. I found a puzzle at PlaSmart called Hiccups. I thought would be a great tool to help teach problem solving.

Hiccups is a hand-held puzzle. The object of Hiccups is to pass a small red ball to the colored cups in order. If you drop the ball or miss a cup, you must start over.

Hiccups is suggested for ages six and up. My almost 9 year old, was easily frustrated with the puzzle in the beginning. He kept trying and improved each time. I also found myself and my husband playing with the Hiccups puzzle. It’s very addicting; once you start you won’t want to stop until you finish.

Hiccups would make a great gift for your problem solver.
