Open Road Snacks was formerly called Rocky Mountain Popcorn. They are a US company based near Denver Colorado. For over 20 years, they have been providing people with wholesome, all natural, non GMO, nut free, and gluten free snacks. As a mother, it is important I find snacks that are safe, and healthy for my kids. Open Road’s varieties of popcorn, and snacks are just that!
Their patent pending process produces a perfect crunch, locking in all the goodness:
- The heart of the kernel, a soul full of taste
- Super-convection baked, never fried
- Satisfying crunch without the harshness of other corn kernel snacks
Asiago Ranch: Each 2.7 oz bag has 2.5 servings per container. There is only 120 calories and 3g of fat per serving which is great. (I mean for me especially) I can take this bag with me in my purse for the daily errands. If I eat the whole bag, then that is my snacks for the day.
Sea Salt & Butter: Each 2.7 oz bag has 2.5 servings per container. There is only 110 calories and 3g of fat per serving. To give you more of a visual, the Poplets are just like the un-popped kernel's in the bottom of a popcorn bag but with loads of flavor. The taste of the sea salt & butter makes me think of a tiny pretzel.
Chile Picante: Each 2.7 oz bag has 2.5 servings per container. There is only 120 calories and 3.5g of fat per serving. There are my husbands favorite! They have a bit of a kick and a little spicy. You can definitely taste the chile and makes me think of Mexican rice.
I was shocked on how great they tasted I thought it would be more like the corn but it was more like pop corn, you have to pour a handful though to truly enjoy Poplets.
My favorite is the Asiago Ranch its full of flavor but not enough to over kill the popcorn taste. Poplets make a great snack that will not only fill you but are good for you.
