Silk proteins are the highest grade protein ingredients that are created from the hydrolysis of silk fibers. They are actually "the inner part" of silk removed during this process. Originally, this ingredient was only used in high-grade skincare, however when applied to hair, silk proteins form a transparent protective film that seals the hair cuticle increasing elasticity, natural shine and further preventing damage to the hair.

Recently, I had the opportunity to check out some of New York Streets products. I have been searching for products that would protect my hair and make it healthier. I mean, I don't bleach my hair but I do use hair dye and a heat appliances.


Before I get into their hair care products, I want to introduce you to their Ink Shield:
Protects from sun. Prevents fading. Moisturizes, conditions and renews tattooed skin. Now, I have needed something like this for a long time. I have over 60 tattoo's which I have collected for nearly 20 years. The older a tattoo gets, the more the color tends to fade down. The ink shield has helped to keep my new tattoo's from fading when I am out in the sun. I have also used it for the aftercare of a new tattoo in place of the A&D ointment. Leave-in hair strengthener repairs and protects without leaving hair limp. Great for fine, weak hair. Wheat and Soy Proteins add strength and elasticity. Leaves hair shiny and smooth with great body and helps to reduce static. I have my father's hair which is fine and thin. I have noticed lately that it tends to break easy and that is a problem. So, I was happy when they sent me the hair repair. I wanted to see if it would help to repair this damaged mop! I have noticed that my hair is not breaking like it was after just a few days. Also, my hair has a shine to it that it hasn't had in years!
