Wayne S. Forrey, the company’s founder and product inventor, contracted lip cancer in 1983. Although Wayne is a non-smoker, doctors attributed his cancer to sunburned lips. After successful lip reconstruction surgery, Wayne began using lip balm everyday to protect and moisturize his lips.
Wayne became dissatisfied with the current industry standard lip balm dispensers because the knurled disk base would unintentionally twist and rotate while in your pants pocket, jacket, purse or luggage…thereby mashing the balm into the cap, causing the cap to come off…making a gooey mess. Most people respond, “Yes, that has happened to me too!”
I love the design of Balmshot! I mean it looks just like a buck shell and that makes it unique. This would make the perfect lip balm for a man! It looks manly while keeping his lips soft and kissable :)
