Advanced Mineral Makeup was created by veteran TV and film makeup artist, Annie Mayo. I tried the Loose Mineral Foundation in Taylor (the lightest shade) and the Liquid Mineral Foundation in Creme Brulee.

The Loose Mineral Foundation contains no talc, starch, perfumes or bismuth oxychloride, so it didn’t irritate my skin or make me break out like some of the other mineral makeup brands do. It has an SPF 30, which is pretty impressive for a powder foundation that doesn’t look cakey or harsh. In fact, it looks quite natural. It comes in 3 colors: Taylor, Angelina and Eva. I’m definitely a “EVA.”

(Yes, I know, the color is a little dark, but I had not really rubbed it in)

The great features of Mineral Foundation:
  • Loose powder is a four-in-one product. A powder, foundationnatural sunscreen and a concealer all in one.
  • Can be used on all skin types.
  • Stays on all day, is transfer proof and water resistant.
  • Contains no talc, starch, perfumes, bismuth oxycloride or other unhealthy substances that are often found in conventional makeup.
  • Advanced Minerals contain Vitamins A and E.
  • A and E are a natural antioxidant that block pollutants and help skin stay young and fresh.
  • AM makeup is non-comedogenic ( will not clog your pores)
  • AM makeup will not settle in the fine lines and wrinkles.
Now, I have included a video by Annie below that will explain why mineral makeup is so much better for our skin:
