SkillShare School of Fashion and Style

04 November

Learn essential skills from industry leaders who are shaping the world of fashion today. Whether you are an aspiring apparel brand mogul or simply looking to write your first style blog post, the Skillshare School of Fashion and Style will provide you with the tools to make it happen.

I wish this program would have been available when I first started blogging. I actually have a college degree in accounting but where I live it won't do you much good. So, I started blogging to help scratch that itch I have for always learning and being creative. It is hard has a stay at home mom to go back to college with a child in school and one at home.

Enter: Skillshare. Online learning that’s accessible to anyone and everyone, in a range of subjects from design to  business to photography, with teachers who give you the tools (videos, downloadable materials, etc.) to learn by watching and doing. And the classes are extremely affordable. And more are constantly being added. It sounds too good to be true for nerds like me but it’s not.

One of the classes that has caught my eye is "The How To on How Tos: Creating Compelling Tutorials for Your Blog" I am very creative and would love to show people how to make these beautiful wreaths that I create but have always been afraid of the blog post. With this class, that by the way on cost $20.00, I will learn everything I need to know know in order to present my projects in compelling fashion. Just look how beautiful their tutorials are (as seen in picture below) and you will learn:

In this class, students will create an original tutorial from start to finish, with full text and photos.  Through exclusive video lessons, PDFs, and curated links, we will go over the following topics:
  1. The Basics: The Key Components to a Good, Share-Worthy Tutorial
  2. Coming up with an Original Tutorial Idea that will get you Noticed
  3. The Ins and Outs of Shooting Tutorials (from photography to styling)
  4. **Note: Photography info will be theoretical, not technical, you do not need any special camera for this class
