Besame Cosmetic Review

30 September

I have always had a flair for the 50's. From the way they dressed, to their clothes, and even the makeup. Now a days they just don't make the cases makeup comes in that exciting. I mean yes, there are cologne bottles you want to sit out on your vanity and maybe containers holding your makeup, but not the old Hollywood style glitz n glamour cases of the days old.

Besame Cosmetics is the vision of designer and cosmetics historian Gabriela Hernandez. The family owned USA company launched in 2003 and is currently sold in 16 countries worldwide.

I love their statement "My Besame is for the woman who makes it clear to the world she is not going to be taken lightly!"

I was lucky to receive several products from the company for review.

The Sweetheart Balm is a luminous lip moisturizing balm with a hint of color that gives you an elegant, long lasting finish. A healthy formula that deeply moisturizes and conditions, while fortifying with antioxidant vitamins C and E. It is highly emollient and protective as it drenches the lips with exceptional comfort and hydration in sheer, shiny pops of color. It comes in four tints:
Peach, Cherry, Tangerine, or Sweet Rose. I received the Tangerine and must say fell in love instantly. The packaging makes me think of the old Hollywood glam! It is beautiful!! It goes on smooth, not sticky, and does give bare lips a pop of color that is not over whelming. The container is glass which I like so I can see how much product I have left. As for the smell, well it smells just like a fresh tangerine.

Lipstick Sampler
Now you can try all our famous Besame Lipsticks including our 2 newest colors! Each sample includes 2 colors to test, with 3 sticks of each color. Use each stick up to 3 times, enough for 18 full lipstick applications. Packaged in a vintage matchbook they are perfect for travel and sharing.
Whether you are discovering Besame for the first time or are a long time customer you will enjoy the simplicity and convenience of our new lipstick samples. Two colors per sample, choose your favorites from 7 complementary color combinations.

Now this is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Matchbook style lipsticks that are portable? Uh yeah, sign me up!! I love the colors I received but what is even better is that they cost $5.00 so you are able to try out the different shades to figure out which full sized product you want to purchase.

The final product I received was the Black Liquorice Lip Glaze from the 1920's collection.
Black Liquorice Lip Glaze: Add radiance to your lips with our irresistible Lip Glaze. Thick and creamy like a sugar glaze it goes on silky smooth and really lasts. Not sticky or runny, flavored with sweet Black Liquorice. Deep color with intense shine. *Contains real liquorice, in very rare cases if you have any sensitivity to liquorice we strongly suggest testing for reaction before applying.
This stuff really does taste like liquorice. I love the deep red/brown color that this product gives my lips. Especially love the packaging as it is also glass with a gold top and beautiful flower etching.

Overall, if you want some of the old Hollywood glam to sit on your dresser or vanity, go check out Besame Cosmetics! The prices are very reasonable and the packaging is to die for!!
